In addition to our long established FSC® Chain of Custody Certification, GP Wood was recently awarded PEFC (Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification) Chain of Custody Certification by Preferred by Nature, making it one of only a handful of major Irish timber processors to hold dual FSC/PEFC certification.
On being awarded PEFC Chain of Custody Certification, GP Wood’s Compliance Manager, Mr. Conor McSwiney, stated, “Dual FSC/PEFC further enforces our commitment to sustainable forestry management, it is strengthening our systems to improve traceability, transparency, and confidence in certified supply chains and ultimately helps ensure forests are managed in ways that respect people, nature, and future generations”.
